Joyce Kennedy

Mrs. Joyce Kennedy began teaching band part-time in 1996 and joined Saint Peter Catholic School full-time in 1998 as the General Music Teacher and Band Director.  She was born in Louisiana but spent most of her school years growing up in Alabama. After high school graduation, she attended Auburn University for 2 years before transferring to Loyola University to earn a Bachelor degree in Music with a secondary concentration in Business Administration.  She accepted a position as an administrative assistant for the Loyola Preparatory Music Program within the university from 1986 – 1992.  She left her position with the university after marriage to stay home and spend time with her growing family, perform professionally and teach privately.  “Music has given me the opportunity to meet many talented students and be a part of an amazing school family and church community.”
