Mrs. Lisa Pescay teaches 6th & 7th grade Science. She joined St. Peter Catholic School in 2016 as the middle school STEM teacher. She was born and raised in St. Bernard and moved to the Northshore after Hurricane Katrina. She earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans in elementary education with a concentration in science. After completing her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Pescay went on to earn a Master's degree in Science Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University. Before coming to St. Peter Catholic School, Mrs. Pescay taught at both Catholic and private schools, most recently at St. Robert Bellarmine in Arabi. Mrs. Pescay enjoys being able to share her Catholic faith with her students while watching them learn and hopes to encourage students to continue into STEM fields as they get older. Mrs. Pescay and her husband, Shane, have three children; a daughter attending LSU, and two boys at St. Paul's.
