Paula Matherne

Paula Matherne joined St. Peter Catholic School in November 2023 as a substitute teacher. She was born in New Orleans and raised in Harahan before coming to St. Peter Catholic School. Paula attended Delgado Community College and received certificates of completion for H.I.T and Medical Coding, working for Centene Corporation reviewing and processing medical claims for the State of Louisiana and functioned as a liaison between the insurance company and providers.
She is married to Joseph Matherne Jr., has a son named Joseph Matherne III and a daughter Melanie Toups, as well as a grandson Cade Toups who attends St Peter School.
Paula is pleased and excited to be a part of St Peter School. "I enjoy being with the children. They fill my heart with joy and I am proud to be a part of their religious education."
